Anne O Nomis 

Anne O Nomis is an archaeologist, art historian, salonnière, BDSM sexuality educator and world expert in Dominance studies. Her name - Anne O Nomis - is a word-play on 'anonymous'.

Anne is the author of the world-renowned book 'The History & Arts of the Dominatrix'. Her book has been positively reviewed by DDI Magazine, Massad Magazine, Leatherati, Slutist, Library Journal Review, and Dominatrices themselves. It is used as the training curriculum at many dungeons and Mistress training courses worldwide.

She holds a Masters degree in Comparative Art and Archaeology from UCL (University College London) which is rated in the top 10 universities Internationally. Her undergraduate Bachelors degree is in Art History and Theory.

As well as teaching Villa Domme, she teaches the online and in-person Dominatrix Seven Realm Arts™ certificate, has taught Oz Kink Fest for two years running in 2017 and 2018, and DomCon NOLA in 2020. given private talks at the Freud Museum, presented at CARAS C2C in Los Angeles, and keynote speaker for Postgraduate Society of Aesthetics Conference at Kent University in 2023. She is the youngest member of the International Leather Hall of Fame Committee, alongside scene legends (such as Bob Miller, Gayle Rubin, Viola Johnson, Guy Baldwin, Robert Bienvenu, etc).

She features on Sky History channel’s Sex: A Bonkers History alongside UK celebrity Amanda Holden. (Aside from featuring on the programme, she also undertook the recreation of the 1820s salon of Dominatrix Governess Theresa Berkley based on meticulous historical research, and the set design for the salon at the Freud Museum London.)

Her new work is on the Ki - responses to force power, and on which she has advanced knowledge beyond what is currently known, and builds upon work of WWI physician Dr W.H.R Rivers, and psychologist, lie detector inventor and Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston - adding additional response domains that were missing from previous science and psychology. She is undertaking large-scale ethics approved research with support of CARAS and International academic psychology collaborators.
