Gozo (Calypso’s Island).

Taught by Anne O Nomis, Archaeologist, World Teacher and Author of The History & Arts of the Dominatrix.

This year Inana Retreat will gather and be held captive on Gozo, the small island of Calypso’s cave from mythology, and home to Ġgantija (the Giantess) megalithic Goddess temple.

Established identified female dominants and women newly stepping into their power and exploring - will fly to the Maltese archipelago. There, they will be warmly and appropriately greeted by willing captive submissives, servants and worshippers of the Divine Feminine, and study together in an immersive FemDom environment.

The itinerary has been rewritten afresh, a palimpsest - with traces of the past, over which Anne (and her attendees) writes anew. Themes of power, magnificence, burning radiance, possession, exploration in enclosure, salt - payment in sweat and tears; desire and longing, revelation and self-renewal.

There are limited places and capacity.

LOCATION

Many will not have heard of Gozo before.

It is a small island, located in the Mediterranean Sea; South of Italy’s Sicily, North of Tunisia, and to the North-West of Malta. It appears as if a tiny tear drop on the map.

Its scale belies its significance. It is place spoken of being on sacred ley lines, and where some of the most ancient megalithic temples were located and aligned to equinoxes and solstice.

Attendees will fly to Malta. (Airport: Malta International Airport)

From there, you can catch the ferry to Gozo.

You may arrive a day or two prior (for those wishing to assist Anne with the set-up or recover from jetlag ahead of the event, and be picked up by private transfer and taken to the villa); or - on the day ensure you catch the 2 pm ferry from Lascaris Wharf in Grand Harbour, Valetta - to the island of Gozo.

VILLA - Private

Anne has organised a beuatiful Gozo villa for attendees to stay, and an 2nd accommodation to facilitate her support team and extra room.

She used to keep the location of her retreats secret at their inception. Year 1 of Villa Domme (2018), famously attendees turned up at a Florence restaurant, and after a meal and dessert - an air-conditioned bus appeared, and transported them with Anne up to a villa originally built for a Countess high up in the hills. Or in another year, attendees flew into Porto and were met by suitably-clad chauffeur subs - and driven to the castello she selected in Portugal. However, the retreat was put under threat one year, by someone seeing a Mistress’s Twitter post and recognising it, seeking to turn up at the gate. (They were sent away swiftly.) Accommodation images have been reverse image searched, threatening the venue and participant’s privacy.

So this year - location is being kept private, again, and disclosed only on a ‘Need-to-Know’ basis.

IMAGES FROM PAST YEARS’ RETREAT

Due to participants’ privacy, very few public domain images exist of past year's’ retreats (Inana Retreat and its predecessor Villa Domme), which is a tribute to the attendees’ adherence to respect for privacy of Anne’s events.

Some attendees have however been comfortable enough to post images of themselves on social media, and/or with other attendee’s features obscured and with specific permission of those within the frame.

Attendees have typically enjoyed themselves so much that they have returned again, in some cases multiple years and in some cases return to Anne’s retreat events in every year they have ever been held.

ABOUT ANNE O NOMIS

Anne O Nomis is the host and curator of Inana Retreat.

She spent 4 years researching and writing her book The History & Arts of the Dominatrix - the only book of its kind on the topic.

She has taught at DomCon NOLA, Oz Kink Fest, ASS Fest, featured on Sky History channel as a Dominance Studies expert and historian of Female Dominance, and is on the Leather Hall of Fame Committee alongside International scene legends (including Bob Miller, Viola Johnson, Gayle Rubin, Guy Baldwin & more).

Anne has taught close to 800 students from around the world learn her Seven Realm Arts certificate method - both lifestylers and professional Dominatrices.

She has a Masters in Comparative Art and Archaeology from UCL, specialising in Near Eastern and Mediterranean Goddess archaeology.

She teaches by philosophy of ‘Lady of the Largest Heart’ - teaching large heart, open mind. Her students and colleagues describe her as warm, intelligent, generous and inspiring.

  • Applicants will be vetted for suitability:

    • FemDom background - may be lifestyle or professional, with those who have completed Anne O Nomis’s Seven Realm Arts certificate course preferred.

    • Social skills, appreciation for different cultural backgrounds, respect and empathy for others.

    • Interview by Zoom with Anne O Nomis.

    • References (eg from respected FemDoms, alumni of Villa Domme etc).

    • Agree to abide by Retreat Rules including SSC (Safe, Sane & Consensual)

    • Probability of good fit with rest of group.

  • Due to the unique circumstances post-Covid-19 pandemic impacting events all around the world, we have had to put into place more extensive Terms and Conditions for our events.

    1. Payment of registration

    1. The payment of the registration is by bank transfer at time of registration.

    2. 50% Deposit required to secure your place. 

    3. A registration is considered complete when full payment is received by Inana FemDom Retreat and Training organiser. Final payment of balance is due 1st March 2026.

    2. Non-attendance / No-shows and Cancellations by Attendee

    No refund will be made for non-attendance at Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia).

    2.1 Cancellation of the registration (by the Attendee)

    Our cancellation policy reflects lost revenue, pre-arranged equipment costs and penalties resulting from late cancellations.

    1. All cancellations must be made in writing to Anne O Nomis at anneonomis@live.com.

    2. If an announcement is made that the event shall be postponed due to Covid-19, other pandemic virus, major war outbreak, etc, attendees will be offered deferral to the next annual event dates for 2027.

    3. If you do not want to transfer your credit to the 2027 event, you are entitled to a partial refund based on the dates below. To claim applicable refunds for cancellations, please email anneonomis@live.com. Refunds are calculated as a percentage of total course and package fees. (ie Not as a percentage of part-payment made.).

      Cancellation on or prior to 31st March 2026 - 50% refund

      Cancellation prior to 31st May 2026 - 25% refund

      Cancellation on 1 June 2026 or after - No refund (in part or full) 

    We will make every effort to find an appropriate person* to take your place on the course if you cancel, and if we are successful in doing so, you will get a higher refund as stated below:

    Cancellation on or prior to 7 May 2026 - 80% refund

    Cancellation on or prior to 15 May 2026 - 70% refund

    Cancellation on or prior to 22 May 2026 - 60% refund

    Cancellation on or prior to 31 May 2025 - 50% refund

    Cancellation on or prior to date of start of the course - 40% refund

    *However it is noted that attendees to Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) are strictly vetted for obvious reasons due to the nature of the event, in relation to safety, prerequisite BDSM knowledge and experience, shared interest areas, group dynamic, FemDom cultural customs, attitude and approach, language understanding, etc, to ensure the success of the event for ALL attendees. Therefore Anne O Nomis requires total discretion over attendee selection, and reserves the right to screen attendees and select only those who will be appropriate to the group dynamic of the course.

    These cancellation policies are made to cover costs that cannot be recouped by Art of Regard. 

     Processing time for refunds: Refunds (less applicable administrative fees) will be processed no later than 7 days of the conclusion of the Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia).

    2.2 Cancellation of Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia)

    Our cancellation policy reflects administrative costs, staff costs in event planning and preparations, costs of equipment made in advance of event including personalized equipment, and penalties resulting from late cancellations and lost revenue.

    1. It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of Anne O Nomis to alter the times, dates, itineraries of the Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) by giving notice to you (attendee) at any time.

    2. In the event of cancellation or postponement of the Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) due to an unforeseen occurrence which includes, but is not be limited to reasons of: 1) an Act of God / Force Majeure event (War, riots, earthquakes, hurricanes, lightning, and explosions, for example, are force majeure events.); 2) a natural disaster (fire, flood, storm, etc); 3) COVID or other pandemic outbreak including lockdowns, travel bans, governmental restrictions and/or regulations, restriction on transportation, and travel restrictions…the below refund policies will be followed:

      i) If an announcement is made that the event shall be postponed due to Covid-19 or other pandemic, attendees will be offered deferral to the next annual event dates for 2026.

      ii) In the event that the enrolled attendee or couple do not wish to defer their enrolment to Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) and contact organisers within 7 days of the event postponement announcement, they will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the full course fees and in addition the personalized items (custom collar, customised course materials etc) will be sent to their postal mail address provided. 

      iii) Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) shall not be liable for any costs of individual airline tickets, hotel bookings or other expenses incurred by individuals to attend Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia). (It is recommended that attendees consider tickets and bookings which have flexible transferable or refundable travel options, due to uncertainty in Covid times.)

    3. IN EVENT OF TEACHER ANNE O NOMIS SUFFERING SERIOUS ILLNESS &/OR IS UNABLE TO ATTEND OR TEACH.

      Every effort will be made by the event organizer to see that Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) goes ahead, and in the event that there are circumstances beyond the event organiser's control such as 1) Teacher to suffer serious illness 2) Teacher detained in a country and unable to reach Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) or other such event, then Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) will run as a Female-led event subject to usual FemDom customs, meals and skill-sharing, while efforts will simultaneously be made to arrange an alternative FemDom teacher at short notice and mitigate impact to the event as much as can be managed.

      i) In the above case, compensation to attendees will be capped at 20%, due to the majority of the fees incurred on castle accommodations, equipment, event planning, meals, and all of which will be provided to all attendees regardless, and the event going ahead without the teacher.

    3. Intellectual Property Rights

    1. All rights in all presentations, documentation and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) are owned by the Anne O Nomis or are included with the permission of the owner of the rights. All such material is protected by the Copyright Act and other international copyright and intellectual property laws. 

    2. Registrants may only use the materials and content for his or her own private non-commercial use. No part of the materials and content should be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, or republished in any form or by any means without the express written permission of Anne O Nomis.

    4. Insurance

    1. Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is required that Registrants take out a fully comprehensive insurance policy at the time of registration to include any eventuality including but not limited to loss of fees through cancellation of Registrant's participation in the Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia), or through cancellation of Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia), loss of airfares through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services, strikes, loss or damages to personal property, force majeure or any other reason, alongside full medical cover.

    5. Liability

    1. Registrants attend Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) at their own risk.

    2. Attendees are expected and sign to agree to follow BDSM guidelines in relation to SSC (Safe, Sane and Consensual), and to practice positive and ongoing informed consent practices regards checking-in, risk mitigation, practising within their own knowledge and skill levels, as per accepted BDSM practice.

    3. Registrants agree not to hold Anne O Nomis liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs, claims or liabilities suffered or incurred by Registrants including consequential or indirect losses or loss of profit through registering for the Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia), attending Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia), cancellation of Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia), failure of Inana FemDom Retreat (Sardinia) to achieve your expectations, or for any error or omission by Inana FemDom Retreat.

    4. Registrants agree not to hold Anne O Nomis liable or responsible for any personal injury (i.e. physical, psychological or emotional stress) or any loss or damage to personal property.

  • 1. Be respectful towards others and to the teacher and venue.
    2. Seek consent - FRIES (Freely given, Reversible, Informed Consent, Enthusiastic, Specific), and SSC (Safe, Sane and Consensual).
    3. Communicate relevant information & follow-up if necessary.
    4. Respect others' boundaries.
    5. Negotiate all scenes.
    6. Avoid making negative assumptions (assuming the worst) or projections onto other people, and when in doubt - ask and seek clarification.
    7. Practice gratitude - not attitude.
    8. Be responsible for yourself, your health and wellbeing.
    9. Be risk-aware, fully-informed, plan, discuss & mitigate potential harm.
    10. Be discreet in honouring people's privacy, do not take photos without advance permission and consent, & don't scare the vanillas / villagers. (This means keeping privacy and confidentiality of other attendees' privately shared information, no taking photos without checking first with others, and maintain discretion.)
    11. Check-in during play - breathing, body language, verbal, 1-10 scale check-in (on comfort / pain / pleasure etc).
    12. Provide some aftercare & check-in after play.
    13. Extra care / consent before engaging in any humiliation and heavier or riskier play (including consent from teacher / those around you). 
    14. No extreme play or permanent marks or things likely to cause serious harm, injury or death. (This includes no asphyxiation play.)
    15. Breaches of rules will be dealt with by verbal warning and/or time-out; or if serious or repeated breach - expulsion from the day or the full course at the full discretion of the teacher and event organisers.
    16. No refund will be made for anyone expelled for their behaviour for breaching rules.
    17. The content of the course is authored and Copyright to Anne O Nomis, and may not be reproduced without express written permission of the author.
